SUMMARY OF ROLE


SunPower is seeking a Solar Incentive Associate to join the Financial Operations team in our North American Channels business. The Solar Incentive Associate will be responsible in ensuring the priced incentives is collected from Utilities and the structured economics are met to maximize cash flow. We are looking for a renewable policy enthusiast, who is a self-starter and likes to solve complex problems with great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface and maintain relationships at all levels of an internal and external organization.


Additionally, the Solar Incentive Associate will be required to understand complex Solar and Storage Incentive Program’s policy and creates an efficient and sustainable operational process around it. This role is cross-functional and requires a highly-motivated, entrepreneurial, and flexible individual who can iterate and operate in a fluid business context.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a detailed understanding of residential Solar and Storage incentives in key markets
  • Manage communication with Incentive Authorities in various Federal and State Jurisdictions.
  • Onboard new solar incentive program, including but not limited to creating a conceptual framework and detailed Operational requirement checklist.
  • Design a sustainable process to effectively manage Solar Incentives (Rebate, PBI, SREC, REC) cash flow
  • Provide feedback based on gathered competitive intelligence and Actual result to benchmark and improve Incentive Pricing and Financing
  • Define metrics and develop reports to be used to measure and evaluate the profitability of Solar Incentives
  • Review trends and volume metrics to identify possible gaps in the process, opportunities or potential issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments in resolving Solar Incentives related issues or improving the process
  • Manage Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) requirement with Dealer and Customers
  • Other duties as required to support team objectives


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Economics, Mathematics field
  • Understanding and experience with different State Solar Incentives program
  • Ability to perform and understand regulatory analysis
  • Experience in creating process documentation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in creating reports and templates is a plus excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills as well as, time management and organization skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, which includes knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Word and Excel).
