A Day in the Life
The Strategic Account Manager SI appointed in the Netherlands will develop and execute local plans in partnership with the Business Unit Director, Marketing Benelux lead, Country director, Sales Managers and local OUs, IHS, and other local stakeholders to create value, deliver accelerated growth and improve customer experience in selected Strategic Accounts for the SI Portfolio.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for account/customer plans for targeted strategic accounts/ customers that deliver expected growth objectives for the SI portfolio in country. In addition to financial targets, plans need to deliver significant customer value and improve customer experience. Responsible for local insight gathering, competitive tracking and market share checking and collection
  • Local point of contact for Business Unit Director, Country Dir., OUs, IHS and Disease State Management for defined accounts. Works in strong collaboration and partnership with local OUs, IHS, Functions and other MDT stakeholders in order to lead change and maximize opportunities in SAM accounts
  • Accountable for the P&L, pricing and tender management, for the targeted strategic accounts and for the achievement of account KPI’s, AOP planning & execution.
  • Establish and lead local operating mechanisms/interface with OUs/functions and ensure SI Account Team members are in place.
  • Develop and maintain the SI business strategic relationship at the Senior (C-Suite) level with strategic accounts, identifying and ensuring execution on co-developed and/or agreed upon account plans, projects and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date account plans in SFDC, prepare progress reports for internal and external stakeholders and conduct quarterly business reviews internally and externally.
Must Haves
  • Bachelor degree in business (preferably), science, medicine or equivalent.
  • 10+ years sales experience in senior and complex roles.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry in Medical Device, Healthcare or Pharma.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and collaboration skills, experience in a multinational environment with a significant matrix component.
  • Able to develop long term strategic relationships and alliances with key internal and external stakeholders. High personal agility & adaptability, profound experience in large scale organizational change.
  • Able to manage large and complex projects and to negotiate and gain cooperation involving different internal and external stakeholders who may have different divergent objectives.
