Position Overview

Diligent is recruiting a high performing Regional Sales Director who will be responsible for signing new business for our CGlytics solution in the EU region. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for generating and converting pipeline of our products to clients in the region, building relationships with key decision makers and providing actionable feedback to management.

The perfect candidate for this position will be a commercially motivated individual with proven success in partnering with issuers, investors or intermediaries around issues related to executive compensation and board effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an expert knowledge of Diligent’s specialist corporate governance SaaS solutions with a core focus on CGlytics.
  • Utilize the consultative sales model to understand the objectives, needs of customers and help develop solutions through the Company’s offerings.
  • Present Diligent’s solutions via in-person and web demonstrations.
  • Research and understand the market for Diligent’s solutions, including competitor analysis.
  • Prospect new leads to supplement inbound enquires and build pipeline.
  • Negotiate and close on an increasing volume of sales targets each quarter.
  • Work with the marketing team to target specific accounts and implement the global strategy in a way that has meaning locally to your market yet remains consistent with the brand.
  • Maintain detailed records in Salesforce and develop strong forecasting capability.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong understanding of global markets including investment landscape, and the growing importance of stewardship, sustainable and good governance practices.
  • Fluency in the following languages is a plus but not essential; French, German or Spanish.
  • Proven success in partnering with issuers, investors or intermediaries around issues related to executive compensation and board effectiveness.
  • Energetic self-starter inspired by a passion for sales who is able to quickly and consistently bring in new customer accounts and exceeding sales targets.
  • A minimum of 5 years in selling SaaS or technology related products or services with a track record of consistently closing new business.
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives.
  • Experience selling for either a business intelligence, market research, corporate advisory services, information technology, or consultancy / advisory firm.
  • Experience selling to multiple stakeholders during a complex sales cycle.
  • A passion for problem solving, learning a new industry and constantly improving sales knowledge.
  • Strong sales closing skills and proven record for exceeding sales targets
  • Willingness to travel and interest in working for a high growth enterprise
