Manager Procure to Pay Retail Japan

About the position
We are looking for a Manager, Transactional Accounting, responsible for the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes in the Japan HQ team. We are looking for a passionate leader who can deliver the following:
  • Financial integrity – Ensure the completeness and accuracy of Daimler Truck Asia’s financial reporting and maintain effective internal controls
  • Operational excellence – Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through business process optimization/reengineering, automation, digitalization and business process outsourcing
  • Lead or participate in various cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive change and create value for the organization
  • Coach and develop staff to create a high performing team
  • Manage the procure-to-pay SAP ledgers of the Japan Retail Finance team

Job Experience

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience (i.e. managing teams)
Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a multinational company

International mindset and cross-cultural understanding
Project management and strong execution capabilities

Practical Knowledge

Accounting knowledge equivalent to Nisho Boki (2nd grade or above)

Professional accounting certifications such as CPA or US CPA is preferred but not mandatory
Conflict management skills

Language
Japanese
English (Business level)

Microsoft Office and other software

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Extensive experience and knowledge in SAP
Microsoft Access, Power BI
