As a Financial Analyst you will support the current Managing Director of Calgary Brokerage (Matt Rachiele, CFA, B.Comm) as he transitions into his new capacity as Senior Vice President, Investment Sales. Matt has extensive industry experience, having overseen our Southern Alberta commercial brokerage operations since April 2019 and having spent 12 years advising corporate and institutional clients on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and other transactions as an Investment Banker based out of Calgary and Toronto. He is the Co-Chair of the 2020 Alberta Real Estate Forum and the interim Canadian representative on Colliers Global Capital Markets executive team, a group of eleven that coordinates our capital markets and investment sales activities across the 68 countries we operate in.


What you bring

  • University or College Degree (ideally in Real Estate Studies, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or Law)

  • Full-time or co-op work experience preferred

  • Solid analytical skills (experience working in Excel, Argus Enterprise and/or RealNet a positive)

  • The ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with external partners through clear and concise oral/written communication.

  • A real estate license or willingness to obtain a real estate license ( typically a 3 – 6 month endeavour while working )

  • A team player who works long and hard when necessary (hours and workload will be unpredictable, but this is not a “face-time” position)

  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude and desire to tackle new challenges

  • Critical thinker (ability to grasp complex problems quickly and identify viable/creative solutions)

  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail.

Bonus skills and experience

  • Commercial Real Estate experience.

  • Valuation or Banking experience.

What success looks like

  • You will participate in client meetings, coordinate supporting materials for offer packages and respond to client questions.

  • You will assist with transactions by preparing / reviewing presentations, reports, proposals, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other documents.

  • You will produce pitch and marketing materials in conjunction with our marketing division (incl. print, matterport, video production and social media content);

  • You will perform financial modeling and analysis (Excel, Argus Enterprise, RealNet, Miscrosoft CRM, PowerBI, etc.);

  • You will participate in database construction and management (precedent transactions, asset, contacts, etc.)
