We are excited to welcome you to our People & Culture (P&C) team in a 15 month contract position. Reporting to the P&C Program Lead, you will work closely with the P&C Business Partners, Axonify Product team, and VP, P&C, to understand the human needs of the business and innovate, launch and administer solutions that support a culture of belonging, engagement, growth, and learning.

We are aiming to have our new P&C Program Specialist start in early December so you can get your feet wet before our annual paid Axonify holiday shut down from December 25 - January 3. Although this role is a 15 month contract (to support one of our team members who is growing her family), you are eligible for health, dental and wellness benefits. While Covid-19 remains a public safety concern, you will have the flexibility to choose where you work - in office or remote - based on your personal circumstance; however, in some circumstances there may be a requirement to be in office for learning or executing a program. Post pandemic, you will still be supported to work remotely for up to 50% of your time with the tools, resources and support to ensure success regardless of where you physically work.

You’ll be successful at:

  • Being the Axonify platform guru. We are a learning company and love our product as much as our customers do! You will act as the administrator for the Axonify learning platform for our employees by maintaining and updating existing learning content, curating employee resources such as articles, setting up events, managing rewards and running reports as required
  • Identifying and addressing learning needs. Not all of our learning takes place in our platform. Working with the P&C Business Partners, you will address our employee’s learning needs and provide meaningful solutions using a modern learning approach. This could include coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, scheduling, managing invitations, tracking attendance, and gathering session feedback
  • Lead or support P&C projects and programs. You will participate in the successful execution of programs and events that contribute to Axonify’s social responsibility, such as: philanthropy or EDI (equity, diversity and inclusion) and Axonify’s engagement, such as: social events, wellness or recognition
  • Communicating with employees across the organization. Whether it be delivering onboarding sessions to new employees or speaking with leaders one-one you will be comfortable sharing information and clearly articulating your message
  • Researching and analyzing data. To successfully deliver programs, you enjoy researching a variety of ideas or survey data, summarizing, and presenting your recommendation

Because you bring:

  • Passion for the Human Resources field. And have completed a certificate or degree in human resources, organizational behaviour, psychology, or teaching (with a focus on adult education)
  • 5 years progressive professional experience. With a minimum of 3 years in a human resources or a learning and development role
  • Flexibility. No task is too mundane or too complex for you. You are just as happy quietly working away at administrative cyclical tasks, as you are verbally presenting a program to all employees, or having healthy debate in a brainstorming session
  • The ability to listen. Not only do you listen to the words from the business, but you hear what is being said, and then formulate a solution. You understand that the employees are your clients and are driven to create an exceptional employee experience through the delivery of your programs
  • Confidence, resiliency and creativity. You are not shy in sharing your creative ideas - even if they are so far out of the box, that they create a whole new box - and then be adaptable to pivot and shift if a new need becomes a priority
  • Mad organization skills. Not only do you keep yourself organized, but you take pride in keeping others organized by anticipating needs before someone even knows they need it
  • Action. You are a thinker and then a doer. Once you’ve come up with a plan, you love to action it. Your accomplishments are your drive to exceed all expectations for everything that you action
