Your core responsibilities will be to support the P&C team, working closely with the P&C Business Partners towards the development and evolution of various people and culture programs and initiatives. You will gain skills as a generalist human resources professional and continue to learn and grow as you are continuously exposed to more experiences.

We are aiming to have our new P&C Coordinator start in early December so you can get your feet wet before our annual paid Axonify holiday shut down from December 25 - January 3. While Covid-19 remains a public safety concern, you will have the flexibility to choose where you work - in office or remote - based on your personal circumstance; however, in some circumstances there will be a requirement to be in office for learning or executing a program. Post pandemic, you will still be supported to work remotely for up to 50% of your time with the tools, resources and support to ensure success regardless of where you physically work.

You’ll be successful at:

  • Owning the administration of BambooHR (our HRIS) and the filing of People & Culture-related documents. You know everything that should be put into the system and are the expert on keeping all employee data up-to date
  • Playing a key role in Axonify’s internal communications. You are hyper-aware of all events and activities at Axonify so that you can ensure the Axonifam has access to the information they need. You assist with building the weekly newsletter, support company-wide business update meetings, co-manage our internal use of Axonify (our own product!), and post regularly in our Slack channels
  • Supporting People & Culture projects and programs. You flip from task to task seamlessly, supporting the administrative tasks and execution of many programs, like onboarding, recognition, philanthropy, and wellness
  • Organizing and hosting events. You will invent unique events, source guest speakers, coordinate logistics, and host / execute on event day. Events and games are key activities that contribute to Axonify’s award-winning culture and as an active participant on the Social Committee, you leverage your creative side while diving into the nitty-gritty of logistics
  • Preparing People & Culture metrics and analyzing data. You spend time in Excel cleaning and reporting on P&C data that contributes to monthly metrics and ad-hoc reports
  • Administrating the employment change process. You take information from members of the People & Culture team to formalize employment changes by writing letters, obtaining approval signatures, and notifying payroll
  • Acting as the administrative assistant for the team. You keep People & Culture on track by coordinating and note-taking in meetings, summarizing action items, noting important dates, tracking receipts and budgets, and managing purchase orders and expenses. Your mad organization skills keep the entire team on track

Because you bring:

  • Passion for the Human Resources field and have completed a human resources certificate or degree program. You may even be working towards your CHRP
  • 1 year of work experience in a professional environment
  • Intense enthusiasm for the art of written communication. You’re exceptional in formatting, editing and crafting messages in Powerpoint, Word, Excel and G-suite products
  • Enjoyment in having data at your fingertips and excitement about pulling together extra information that helps the team make informed decisions
  • An understanding that the employees are your clients, and you are driven to create an exceptional employee experience while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
  • A proactive mindset to think of action items outside of the task and the confidence to know when to act
  • A flexible work style where you are just as comfortable quietly working on your own or collaborating with the rest of the team
  • Creativity to think outside the box and the confidence to share your ideas
  • Excitement and energy. You don’t shy away from having fun, building relationships, and bringing your authentic self to everything you do
  • Resiliency. No job is too big, or too small for you. Assembling care packages for all Axonifiers - no problem. Putting together new hire documents - absolutely. Participating in budgeting and annual planning - bring it on.
