Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

As a member of our Finance and Accounting team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leads the budgeting, rolling forecasting and target setting processes.This includes developing and communicating the annual financial planning and reporting management calendar and working with budget holders to build their annual budgets and forecasts.

  • Applies quality principles and practices and ensures continuous improvement relating to the internal reporting process and content of the information report. This includes managing processes to support the department’s strategic direction and communicating, facilitating and supporting necessary changes as well as reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement.

  • Increases management’s effectiveness. This includes recruiting, selecting and training individuals, communicating strategies and objectives, and providing employees with the necessary resources to perform individual job responsibilities efficiently.

  • Leads the performance management process by communicating job expectations and tracking individuals’ progress. This includes determining team and individual goals, offering job coaching, training, motivation and support to help employees meet objectives and quality requirements, reviewing progress, and offering feedback.

  • Develops and prepares, high quality, timely and accurate monthly reporting packages that provides a summary and variance analyses, KPI’s and insights into key business trends.This includes analyses of specific targeted line items, strategic project costs and expense categories, presentations for the executive and senior management and the Board of Trustees.

  • Treasury manage the cash, debt and equity of the organization.Key tasks include, preparing cash flow forecasts and modelling, managing organization’s liquidity and financial investments.Providing analysis and recommendations on acquisition and/or investment opportunities.

  • Provides support to the organization by participating in special projects (M&A activity, process optimization, market research), preparing cost benefit analysis, financial modelling, audit, and providing advice on performance improvement and risk management strategies.


If this opportunity sounds interesting, and you meet the following requirements, you might be the person we’re looking for. We need someone who has:

  • A university degree in accounting or a related subject

  • A recognized financial accounting designation such as CA, CMA, CGA or CPA

  • A minimum of eight years’ experience in the general accounting field including at least five years’ experience in a supervisory role

  • Advanced knowledge of financial accounting and internal controls

  • Knowledge of income and commodity taxation

  • Exceptional communication skills and a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • The demonstrated ability to collect, compare and analyze information and figures in great detail, while using strategic approaches to understand complex problems

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
