About our Day Surgery Unit at Monash Health, Casey Hospital
Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.
Our purpose built Day Surgery Unit consists of two procedural rooms providing a wide variety of interventional procedures, including Endoscopy. Working alongside a 6 Operating Theatre Complex, the surgical specialities also include plastics, urology, gynaecology, general surgery and colorectal.
About The Role
We currently have several opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced Grade 4 Theatre Technicians as we look to build our team with both Full Time and Part Time positions available.
As a Theatre Technician, you will be responsible for transporting, setting up, cleaning and maintaining theatre equipment and assisting with the positioning of patients in the Endoscopy and Day Surgery Unit and across the broader Operating Theatre Complex. The Day Surgery Unit supports specialities including Endoscopy, General Surgery, Colorectal, Urology, and Gynaecology.
The Theatre technician provides efficient, high quality care in patient focused environment through effective and committed teamwork.
With previous experience in this field, you will have well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work both autonomously and with Supervision as required.
You have demonstrated skills in an acute setting and thrive when working in a fast-paced environment. We look for your flexibility in order to respond proactively and adapt to the changing needs of DSU.
With your effective communication skills, you are easily able to liaise and engage with others at all levels to deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
