Period of Employment

Multiple vacancies:

Permanent full-time day work, (with on-call) working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Royal Hobart Hospital – Statewide Pharmacy

Duties

As a senior pharmacist, utilise specialist knowledge of pharmaceuticals and therapeutics related to oncology and haematology patients to provide pharmaceutical care to patients as well as training, professional supervision and support to pharmacy staff within the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Ensure that pharmacy-related aspects of the ARIA Oncology Information System are maintained to support safe and efficient patient care.

Provide education and support to other staff using medication-related functionality within the ARIA system.

Undertake project work to enhance the capability and utilisation of the ARIA system

Essential Requirements

  • Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty
