The Education Assessments and Collections directorate within the System Performance Division is responsible for the coordination and delivery of enterprise education assessments and their associated data collection functions. This includes the systemic management for the delivery of assessments within schools, including NAPLAN testing and marking, NAP samples, international assessments and being the NAPLAN Test Administration Authority for South Australia.
The Project Officer coordinates the planning, delivery and evaluation of Education Assessments and Collections and the updating of publications and protocols to support the delivery of the assessments. The Project Officer is also responsible for providing consultancy to the Education Assessments and Collections team and stakeholders in relation to emerging issues and trends regarding Education Assessments and Collections. This role assists in providing the Help Desk functions during testing windows and will be required to work collaboratively and with flexibility across teams, based on peak workloads and priorities.
Desirable – A relevant qualification in project management or equivalent
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. A current DHS child-related employment screening will be recognised as a WWCC until it expires. The incumbent will be required to undertake Responding to Abuse & Neglect (RAN) full day/online training course every three years.
