As our Farm Source Area Manager - People, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the relationship with Fonterra Australia’s suppliers, contributing to the development and profitability of their farm businesses, and to make Fonterra the processor of choice. This autonomous role will see you managing your time effectively as you travel regionally within Tasmania and working closely with farmers to identify individual needs and challenges, then bring to life the tools, services and support we can offer to help enable positive business outcomes and retain a strong milk supply for Fonterra. Part of a highly skilled team with a range of specialties, you will take on the People specialist remit – connecting with our farmers and providing support on employment, business plans and H&S procedures in addition to Area Manager accountabilities
With a strong knowledge of the dairy industry and a proven track record in agribusiness, agri-banking or People skills, you’ll have strong relationship building skills, sound commercial acumen, and be able to confidently communicate Fonterra’s strategy, performance and value proposition to our farmers and the wider community.
The conversations aren’t always easy, so you’ll also need the resilience to have some tough ones and challenge boundaries when required, as well as get people on board and working towards a common goal. With this in hand, someone with HR and H&S exposure would be ideal, however we are willing to train a driven relationship builder with a proven track record and a keen interest in the dairy industry.
