ABB Measurement and Analytics develops, produces, sells, delivers and services products and solutions to enable industrial and energy customers to operate more efficiently and profitably. You will serve as a key technical resource for Measurement & Analytics business line in Notting Hill; Australia. Reporting to Customer Support Manager you will support the local sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process.

Your responsibilities

  • Work with sales team to formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, considering best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation.
  • Owns the bids and proposals process and procedures, ensuring proposals are well documented in a timely manner
  • Identifies potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers
  • Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Provides any necessary technical support to sales team during technical meetings with customers.
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • Engineering degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechatronics.
  • Technical experience with process instrumentation, analysers and integrated analyser systems preferred and highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to establish good relationships with customers and staff.
  • Commercially savvy with finance knowledge and demonstrated experience dealing with commercial aspects of business.
  • Commitment to process-thinking, development oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail.
