The Client Services Team Placement Consultant is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective delivery of assistance and advice to MAX Employment job seekers who are fully eligible for Employment Services support via set monthly phone appointments. An employee appointed to this level shall in addition to the duties of a CST CSO deliver over the phone contact services to groups of job seekers. Incumbents may be required to focus on one aspect or perform variety of activities listed under Key Responsibilities during the course of their employment.
  • Conduct monthly phone interviews
  • At initial phone contact, explain phone contact services and job seeker expectations
  • Ensure job seeker is actively job searching including discussing any job and/or job trials
  • Ensure job seeker is participating in any Work for the Dole (WfD) requirements
  • Ensure job seeker is linked to MAX Connect and using MAX Connect as part of their job searching regime
  • Ensure job seeker “person job fit” is completed and up to date (from 1/7/15)
  • Identify suitable job referrals using MAX Connect and other web sites
  • Ensure job seeker has an up to date and marketable resume
  • Make future appointment (phone or face to face)
  • Ensure job seeker is given information on their Annual Activity Requirements (AAR) one month before
  • Ensure attendance management requirements are adhered too
  • Ensure all KPI’s are met
  • Ensure that job seeker case notes and all other documentation are relevant, and in line with the minimum contractual standards
  • Conduct administrative activities consistent with Employment Services contractual and legislative requirements, and MAX Employment philosophy and quality standards
  • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience within a similar role
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong administration skills
  • Experience within an Employment Service environment, would be an advantage.


  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
  • We adhere to the National Principles for Child Safety and require all team members to be committed to child safety and wellbeing. Our induction and training will provide you an understanding of these principles, including having an understanding of children’s developmental needs and culturally safe practices.
  • Ability to undertake a Certificate IV Employment Services
  • Participation in professional development and training as required.
